Manus Management culture

Manus Management is a small office with a short client list and a long institutional memory. That shapes the job in ways worth being honest about before anyone applies.

The work is detailed.

You will read leases properly, not skim them. You will be expected to have a view and to say it out loud in a room containing people considerably more senior than you, and to change it when someone makes a better argument. Because the client list is short, you will know the portfolios you work on thoroughly, and you will be in front of owners far earlier than you would be at a large firm.

Everything we handle is private.

Confidentiality is a condition of employment and, after a while, a habit that follows people home. If that sounds like a constraint rather than a professional standard, this will not suit you.

Financial Analyst

Geneva · Full time

The analytical centre of the practice. Every recommendation that leaves this office rests on work produced by this role.

What you would do

  • Prepare and maintain models for individual assets and for consolidated family portfolios
  • Produce the monthly and annual reporting packs across entities and currencies
  • Run valuation and cash-flow analysis on acquisitions, disposals and repositioning proposals
  • Track performance against the annual asset plans and flag the variances that matter
  • Work directly with senior advisers, and with clients as you establish yourself

What we are looking for

Two to five years in real estate finance, private banking, audit or a similarly analytical setting. Genuine fluency in modelling, and the kind of accuracy that treats a rounding error as an insult. English and French are the working languages of the office and proficiency in German is beneficial, though not essential.

Manus Management wants someone who notices when a number is technically correct and practically misleading, and who will say so.

Assistant, Property & Portfolio

Geneva · Full time

A way into private property management for someone organised and genuinely interested in how significant holdings are looked after.

What you would do

  • Support the property managers on tenant correspondence, contractor coordination and works scheduling
  • Keep the portfolio records, files and lease diaries in the state our clients pay for
  • Assemble reporting packs and meeting papers
  • Handle enquiries from tenants and advisers with the tact this clientele expects

What we are looking for

Some exposure to property, client service or administration. You write well in English and preferably in French. You notice what other people miss, and you understand instinctively that what you read here is not discussed elsewhere.
